A Day in Monterey Bay
On August 28, 2007, surfer Todd Endris was enjoying a day in Monterey Bay, California. Suddenly, a great white shark attacked him. The massive predator struck with force, tearing into his back and leg.
A Fight for Survival
Despite severe injuries, Endris managed to fight back, using his surfboard to shield himself from further bites. However, the shark attacked a second time, inflicting even more damage.
The Dolphins Intervene
In a remarkable turn of events, a pod of dolphins appeared and formed a protective circle around Endris. These dolphins kept the shark at bay, preventing it from launching another attack. Thanks to their intervention, Endris was able to make his way to shore.
Survival and Recovery
Todd Endris survived the encounter after being rescued by nearby friends and receiving medical attention. He required surgery to repair his injuries but fully recovered. Endris credited the dolphins with saving his life during that harrowing day in Monterey Bay.
