Mummified in 16 Days: The Sofia Mystery 🕵️

Just 16 days after he was last seen alive, a 34-year-old man was found near a railway in Sofia, Bulgaria, in a stage of complete mummification. The man’s brain and other organs had become structureless masses, leaving researchers baffled at the rapid decay. His organs were dried and brownish-black, with fat tissue almost entirely gone. No traumatic injuries were found, though small lesions indicated maggot activity postmortem.
