A Giant Glass Heel in Taiwan
In 2016, the High-Heel Wedding Church was unveiled in Budai Township, Taiwan. Standing at 55 feet tall and 36 feet wide, the structure was designed in the shape of a giant high-heel shoe made entirely of blue-tinted glass.
Built for Special Ceremonies
The church was created as a venue for wedding celebrations and photo shoots rather than religious services. It features over 300 individual glass panels and was specifically designed to appeal to brides and couples seeking a unique setting for their special day.
Inspired by a Story
The concept for the building was reportedly inspired by a local story about a woman who lost her legs to disease. Although the church doesn’t host traditional services, it has become a popular tourist attraction and a sought-after wedding destination.
